<span class="item">Please pray for an Indonesian Bible school student who has an infection in her brain after a long bout with typhoid. Narti is 17, from a faraway interior village, and is struggling to survive. MAF pilot Brian Underhill flew her out from the Bible school to Tarakan.  Holly Underhill and some Indonesian MAF employees have been trying to get her the care she needs in the hospital there. MAF and Indonesian churches are joining together to fund her expensive care. </span></li>

<span class="item">The International Association of Missionary Aviation (IAMA) is holding its annual conference at MAF headquarters in Nampa, beginning today. Please ask the Lord to bless this gathering.</span></li>

<span class="item">Cholera continues to spread in western Democratic Republic of the Congo, where it has been a problem for more than a year.  Please pray for those suffering from the disease, and that the doctors, health workers, and MAF pilots will make a difference.</span></li>

<span class="item">Please lift up Mike Birdsong and his wife Linda. Mike is MAF’s benefits manager serving in Nampa, Idaho. Mike recently battled cancer and asks prayers for a positive result to an upcoming CT scan. </span></li>
<li><strong>Wednesday, May 2</strong><br />
<span class="item">The learning lab in the La Carpio slum of San Jose, Costa Rica, is now offering courses in computer basics to adults, taught by a retired air force man living in Costa Rica and attending a local church. Please pray for the students, as they have a vast range of differing skills, which could make both teaching and learning challenging.</span></li>
<li><strong>Thursday, May 3</strong><br />
<span class="item">There is currently a lot of political instability in Papua New Guinea, where MAF-International operates a flight program. Please pray for peace, and that national elections planned for later in the year will take place on schedule.</span></li>

<span class="item">Please pray that MAF supporters and staff members alike will be blessed by fellowshipping together today in Texas.</span></li>

<span class="item">The MAF program in Papua, Indonesia, recently delivered three tons of school books to Illaga to replace the ones that were destroyed in the tribal warfare there. Please thank the Lord for His provision and pray for peace in this region.</span></li>

<span class="item">Pray that the MAF team in Wamena, Papua, Indonesia, will be a blessing and comfort to the medical patients they transport. Many of the patients are suffering HIV/AIDS or TB and often die shortly thereafter. Pray that the MAF staff will be able to point the patients and their family members to Christ as their only hope.</span></li>

<span class="item">Please praise God for the arrival in Mozambique of Dr. Hanneke Dekker, who will begin work with MAF’s MozMed flying doctor service as soon as she obtains her local license. With the addition of this second doctor, MozMed will double its ministry to the sick in the name of Jesus! </span></li>

<span class="item">Just three years ago, MAF’s Mozambique program was a one-family program. It now has four pilot/mechanic families and a school teacher! Praise God for how he has allowed MAF to minister in Mozambique and pray that we will continue to be effective.</span></li>

<span class="item">The MAF program in Sentani, Papua, Indonesia reports that shortages of diesel fuel have led to sporadic power outages in an attempt to conserve fuel stocks. Electricity in Sentani is generated by large diesel generators. Please pray for a solution to this problem.</span></li>
<li><strong>Friday, March 23</strong><br />
<span class="item">MAF pilot/mechanic <a href="http://www.maf.org/underhill" target="_top">Brian Underhill</a> recently led a ministry team to Kampung Baru, East Kalimantan, to a Bible school there that trains Indonesian pastors and evangelists. The purpose of the trip was a six-hour series on how the Bible handles finances and possessions. It was attended by 175 local Bible school staff, students and Indonesian pastors throughout the region. Please join us in thanking God for this opportunity to minister, and pray for the attendees.</span></li>
<li><strong>Saturday, March 24</strong><br />
<span class="item">MAF’s Marieke Rietveld (a midwife) and Rebecca Hopkins recently visited the village of Mahak Baru in Kalimantan, where they spent three days teaching the youth about healthy dating and Biblical motherhood. Teen pregnancy is rampant in this village. Pray for fruit from these efforts.</span></li>

<span class="item">We are grateful for your ongoing prayers for Richard Morris, director of MAF-<em>Learning Technologies</em>, who was injured when struck by a car in February.
